CHILDREN IN HAITI ARE NO LONGER SIMPLY VICTIMS OF CRIMINAL GANGS, THERE ARE INCREASINGLY BECOMING THEIR TARGETS.
In Port-Au-Prince, children are born, grow up and become adults on the streets, never having known a home. Whether it’s kidnapping, rape, or even murder, more and more incidents of gang violence have involved children and women in recent weeks and months The number of child victims of armed attacks allegedly attributed to criminal gangs has increased dramatically in Haiti. Yet the safety of children should be the top priority of the Haitian government. Don’t those in power realize the social danger of abandoned children?
The presence of some 3,000 children left to their own devices in the streets of Port-Au-Prince is indisputable proof of the weakness of the State and the organizations working in this field to provide a lasting solution that can give hope to this category, abandoned, destitute and desperate. DFI works in the most difficult places in the country, to reach the most disadvantaged children. We work for every child to build a better world for them. Our mission at Development for Freedom International is to provide a home for these str
eet children and we want this house to bring them the security and love they need. This is our goal!
Haiti needs your prayer! The Children of Haiti need your help!
