AGAPE school
Agape School is a unique educational institution dedicated to providing opportunities for street children who were left behind in terms of formal education and entered Haiti’s education system at a later stage. Through a specialized “ ACCELERATED” program developed by the Ministry of National Education in Haiti, we enable these children to complete the curriculum of the first six years of elementary school in just three years.
At Agape School, we believe in giving every child a chance for quality education, regardless of their circumstances. Our accelerated program aims to bridge the educational gaps quickly, providing a solid foundation for their learning journey.
With Agape School, we are making a significant impact by transforming the lives of street children through education. Together, we are building a brighter future, where every child has equal opportunities to realize their dreams and reach their full potential.
Girls in technology
In the field of education, we have established Girls in Technology, a vocational school specifically designed for young girls. Our program empowers them to learn technical skills related to technological development, positioning them as future leaders. We have observed that girls in our country are often limited to managerial tasks, and the few who have access to education are typically directed towards traditional roles such as sewing, cooking, and secretarial work. Recognizing this disparity, Girls in Tech aims to train a new generation of strong, independent women who can excel in diverse technical professions and become leaders in their communities.
Girls in Technology is dedicated to providing a platform for girls to explore and be skillful in technology-related fields, breaking societal barriers and challenging gender stereotypes. Our curriculum focuses on empowering girls with the necessary knowledge and skills in areas such as STEM (Sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics) and digital innovation. By equipping them with these valuable competencies, we are fostering a sense of equality and promoting female leadership in traditionally male-dominated society.
At Girls in Technology, we believe that every girl deserves equal opportunities and the chance to pursue their passions in the technology sector. We strive to create an inclusive learning environment that nurtures their talents, builds their confidence, and prepares them for successful careers. Together, we are shaping a future where girls can thrive, contribute to innovation, and emerge as strong leaders in their fields.
School support
At DFI, we firmly believe in collaboration and in improving the educational system in Haiti. In addition to our Agape School, we actively support other educational institutions throughout the country. We provide significant financial and technical assistance to schools in Montrouis, Arcahaie and Ganthier, specifically contributing to teacher salaries. Additionally, in Port-au-Prince, we supply schools with educational materials and food provisions for students. Our commitment is aimed at strengthening the educational system and creating conducive learning environments for students. We believe that healthy eating is essential for children’s good health and development.
Through these actions, we strive to make a significant difference in the lives of children and contribute to the overall development of education in Haiti. By working together, we can build a strong and equitable education system for young people in the country.
