EMPOWERMENT
We have two running programs:
- “LIBERE” ( meaning: free from) for women self-sufficiency and
- Women Leadership training
As for women empowerment, we are dedicated to implementing programs for self-sufficiency through guidance and support. One of our flagship initiatives, named “Libere”, aims at empowering and uplifting women by offering mentorship, and financial assistance to women in the community. Through this project, we seek to foster their entrepreneurship and business ventures, promoting economic independence and skill development. By empowering women, we believe in strengthening their roles within the community and contributing to their overall growth and success.
“Libere”, provides single vulnerable mothers with startup credit for small business or animal breeding. We monitor periodically their growth and provide mentorship, training, and financial resources. We create opportunities for women who previously had no access to education and/ or other kind of training, enabling them to become self-sufficient.
Women Leadership training
At DFI, we firmly believe in the power of women and their capacity to drive positive change. Women Leadership training program is a transformative initiative designed to empower and uplift women in Haiti, grounded in Christian values. The program aims to equip women with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to become effective leaders in their communities. Our comprehensive training modules include: Leadership Development- Personal Empowerment- Advocacy and Influence- Mentoring and Networking.
This program will equip these vulnerable women without educational background to drive positive change, promote gender equality, and serve as catalysts for community development in Haiti.
