Eul K Chung
DFI KOREA
Rev. Eul K Chung is a pastor and theologian who gained his MDiv and Ph. D at South Western Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) on New Testament Study, and he was a professor of the New Testament at the same school. After four years of teaching at the SBTS, he moved to North Carolina and continued teaching at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
How Jesus Christ has transformed him from a man born from non-Christian parents to a pastor, theologian, and servant of God has an exciting story. It only happened just before his marriage. He loved a lady so much he wanted to get married to her, but the lady’s family members disagreed with this marriage because he was not a believer. Therefore, he attended a church for the first time to please her family. This first engagement struck him and led him to Bible studies, where he encountered Christ profoundly. Jesus redeemed and accepted him into His Kingdom, and this pivotal moment ignited a strong desire to share the Gospel and lead others to faith.
For over 16 years, Dr. Chung faithfully served as the senior pastor of All Nations Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. Throughout his ministry, he’s been engaged in mission work, serving church leaders and seminary students in Panama, Colombia, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Senegal, and Paris. He also wrote two books, “God’s master plan” and “Are you reborn by the Holy Spirit?”.
2018, even after retiring from full-time pastoral ministry, Dr. Chung served the church as a retired senior pastor. He then returned to Korea and took on the noble role of representative for DFI Korea, dedicating his efforts to furthering the organization’s mission which is deeply related to his core values.
Dr. Chung cherishes his family life with his lovely wife and two children with four grandchildren.
